Megan Faux mixes with Kristen Auclair

Original Post

Some time ago I got banned from the Megan Fox Fan Page but I still occasionally get called upon to talk about some bullshit that she worked up. Her latest bit of bullshit was talking about the Scientific Method and of course she has no fucking clue as to what she is saying or posting.

What makes this post interesting is that some people might actually think that it’s how the Scientific Method actually works because both parts of the image is incorrect.

In case the post doesn’t load here is the image macro (Feel free to use as you please of course):

Then

How the “then” section puts the Scientific method is:

  1. Observe
  2. Hypothesize
  3. Test
  4. Establish Theory
  5. Modify Hypothesis
  6. Repeat 3 – 5 as necessary

That is simply wrong and that is what she thinks the Scientific Method should be. Here are the actual steps of the Scientific Method:

  1. Make Observations
  2. Think of Interesting Questions
  3. Formulate hypotheses
  4. Develop Testable Predictions
  5. Gather Data To Test Predictions
  6. Refine, alter, expand, or reject hypotheses
  7. Repeat 4-6 as necessary
  8. Develop general theories

Now not only is the method in Faux’s picture not complete but it misplaces a very important step that causes the entire method to fail miserably; therefore, creating a strawman that she could easily strike down. She obviously doesn’t go that route though… She goes the way of Kristen Auclair:

In order to do good science you must understand how to apply the scientific method correctly. Even what may seem like a “minor” understanding of how to apply the method can have devastating effects on the ability of the method to produce good results.

I’m not even going to waste my time going through the “now” portion of the image, because it’s as ridiculous as Ms. Auclair up there.
